PayU in 2019: A Year of Growth & Innovations

With the year 2019 coming to an end, we thought it would be a good time to reflect on how far we have come in the fintech journey. But before sharing with you how much we grew in 2019, we would like to say: Thank you for making PayU what it is today! STRATEGIC ACQUISITIONS & INVESTMENTS

In our endeavor to support growing startups and further boost the fintech ecosystem, we made a series of strategic investments and acquisitions in 2019.

We acquired Wibmo – A California-based payments and security firm for $70 million. This deal took our fintech investment total past the $500 million mark. With this acquisition, we aim to deliver a more secure and seamless payment experience to our partners.
We led $11 Million funding round in Fisdom – A wealth tech start-up. With this move, we have entered the wealth and investment tech sector to broaden our financial services.
We invested $7 Mn into Lazypay – Our consumer lending entity which is growing at a tremendous rate!

PARTNERSHIPS

We partnered with Zoho CRM and Shopmatic to enable users to accept payments right from these platforms.

PRODUCT INNOVATIONS

Being an industry leader, we must constantly innovate and provide the latest fintech technology & payment solutions to our users. Striving to provide solutions custom-tailored to your payment needs, we created the products you asked for!

PayU Payouts – To help businesses disburse bulk payments seamlessly to anyone, anytime using NEFT, IMPS or UPI. Using PayU Payouts, you can pay your vendors and employees, disburse winnings & initiate instant refunds in bulk.
Subscription – To help businesses accept and manage recurring payments from their customers, effortlessly.
Instant Settlements – To improve cash flow for businesses by settling their money into their bank account the same day.
PayU Assist – An AI, ML-based service platform to offer automated customer service capabilities to our merchants to accelerate the resolution of issues.

And we also launched the all-new PayU App to help you accept payments and manage transactions on the go!
