# PayU

PayU is India's leading digital payments solution provider and the payments and fintech business of Prosus (majority owned by Naspers). PayU enables 5 lakh+ businesses to collect online and offline payments across 150+ payment modes including credit/debit cards, UPI, net banking, wallets, EMI, and BNPL. It is PCI-DSS certified and serves as the preferred payment partner for India's top e-commerce companies and a majority of airline businesses.

PayU was launched in 2011 by ibibo, demerged as PayU India in 2014, and has grown through strategic acquisitions including Citrus Pay ($130M, 2016\) and Wibmo (2019).
